The City of Muenster tells me that they don't have any history on this bridge, other than that it's been here for about thirty years. Bridgehunter refers to this one as "Old Cross Street Pony Truss", and provides the following vitals:

Muenster City Park is a very nice park just west of the center of Muenster, TX, where you can enjoy a little bit of German-Americana with a Texas touch to it. There is shopping, dining, and plenty of history to explore. Be sure to visit Fischer's Market, pick yourself up some of their fine cheese and sausage -- among other things -- and enjoy that animated clock that runs every hour. The park itself has plenty of play space, a pavilion, courts for basketball, volleyball, and tennis, a swimming pool, disc golf, and some nice walking paths which will take you over this bridge. There is plenty of parking to be had throughout the park.
