A unique exhibit of customs history stretching far beyond the territory of East Bohemia. On display are the House of St. Matthew, the office of the senior customs officer of the Austrian governorate, the „Finanzwache“ half-timbered house, the office of a First Republic customs officer, uniforms of customs officers and financial guards, scales and weights, volume (hollow) and length measures, including examples of Bohemian and Austrian cubits. You will learn about customs pounds and vertel, lot and máz measuring units. Tales of customs officers, such as the French painter Henri Rousseau, Josef Nemec (the husband of the writer Božena Nemcová) and the author of the first customs law in independent Czechoslovakia, Dr. Emil Martinec. Unique sound recordings of smugglers and financial guards from the mountains from the first half of the 20th century from our collections. Examples of customs service and smuggling during the communist period. The exhibits are a continuation of the Monument and the financial guard exhibit located underground in the KS 14 „U cihelny“ bunker.

Muzeum celnictví najdeme v budove bývalého gymnázia. Návštevník muzea se seznámí se všemi historickými obdobími, která vývoj celnictví ovlivnila. Jeho dejiny, které jsou tesne spjaty s obchodem se zbožím, jsou dosazeny do širších dejinných souvislostí. Na dobových fotografiích je ukázáno, jaká byla celní služba za socialismu a jak se v té dobe pašovalo.

Uvidíte zde kancelár prvorepublikového celního úredníka, stejnokroje celnictva a financní stráže. Expozice navazuje na Památník a expozici financní stráže, který je umísten v podzemí pechotního srubu K-S 14 „U cihelny“.
