The organ of the cathedral is the second largest in Italy, after the organ in the Milan Cathedra. It was made by the firm of Tamburini di Crema in 1948 to replace the organ destroyed during the bombing in World War II.
The organ has 5 keyboards, 170 registers, 16,000 canes. [45] It is the work of the firm Tamburini di Crema of 1948 and replaces another, built by the same company in 1930 , which was lost during the bombings of 1943 .
The current Tamburini organ has 169 real registers for a total of about 15,700 canes. It has five 61-key manuals, concave-radial 32-key pedals. There are six sections located around the Cathedral.
