The village of Cholina is located 16 km northwest of Olomouc at the foot of Rampach Hill, at the very beginning of the Drahanská Highlands. Obec Cholina leží 16 km severozápadne od Olomouce na úpatí kopce Rampachu, na samém pocátku Drahanské vrchoviny. Dominantou obce je kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie, pripomínaný již ve 14. století, v minulosti významné poutní místo díky silnému mariánskému kultu.
