A Google search for the Helotes Fitness Park and Disc Golf Course will show the address of 10505 Parrigin Road, Helotes, TX 78023. This will take you to the center of the parking lot at the middle of the park. A park sign at the entrance into the park has the address of 10483 Parrigin Road, Helotes, TX. Either address will get you close enough to find the park and the fitness trail. As the name implies, this park has two parts. Half the park is a walking/jogging trail around which there are twenty exercise stations. The other half of the park is laid out as a nine hole disc golf course. The parking area can hold about 8 to 10 cars, but usually there are only 1 to 4 cars there at any one time.
The fitness part of the park begins about 20 yards from the northeast edge of the parking area. An asphalt pathway forms a 0.3 mile long square around the field dedicated to fitness and exercise. About half of the fitness stations are static stretching, balance, and strength building stations built with wooden lumber and metal bar construction. Most of these are along the first half of the course. The back half of the fitness trail has more kinetic exercise equipment, similar to what you'd see in a gym or indoor fitness center. These are metal exercise equipment designed for outdoor environments but that function with moving parts that offer resistance when being used, to build strength or agility. Permanent signs indicating how each station operates, with illustrations, are next to each of the exercise stations around the pathway.
At the beginning of the trail, next to station 1 is a large billboard with a roof covering that gives information about the layout of the fitness park area. Half the billboard is an explanation of the fitness park rules and regulations. The other half shows the schematic layout of the jogging trail and the locations of the various exercise stations.
Number of Stations: 20

Wheelchair Accessible: Yes, but maybe only for some of the exercise stations.

Degree of Difficulty: Full range from easy to hard, depending on your efforts.

Visit Instructions:
To log a visit to a Fitness Trail waymark please post a picture of yourself (or a partner) at one of the stations performing the exercise and let us know what the exercise is. If you are alone, an original picture of one of the stations will suffice.
