"Made up of a wide coastal strip swept by often violent winds, the tip of the Castles is distinguished by its spurs, rising from the ocean, relics of a cliff eroded by the waves and the spray, and which does not shelter any more rare fauna and flora, including some endemic species.

Tourist site belonging to the network of major sites in France, Pointe des Châteaux hosts an average of 500,000 visitors per year.

The climbing of the "Grand-Croix", located at the top of the Pointe des Châteaux, offers a panorama of the Grande-Terre and, weather permitting, the island of Désirade, which springs to 8 km only offshore in the Atlantic Ocean.

North of the Pointe des Châteaux is the long and dangerous beach of "Grandes Salines". "
