(de) Neben der kleinen Kirche in Gülden befindet sich ein Monolith auf flachem Sockel, der auf der Vorderseite eine metallene Gedenktafel mit der Inschrift
"Dem Andenken unserer Brüder / die im Weltkriege 1914-18 den Ehrentod / fürs Vaterland fanden // Vergiß, mein Volk, die treuen Toten nicht!"
sowie die folgenden Namen und Herkunftsorte der acht Gefallenen enthält:
Wilhelm Rohde Middefeitz / Fritz Ahrens Gülden / Heinr. Eickmann Gülden / Wilhelm Spranz Gülden /
Wilh. Gerstenkorn Prepow / Hartwig Barge Middefeitz / Wilhelm Clasen Keddien / Walter Köhne Prepow
Ich habe keine Informationen darüber, wann und von wem das Denkmal errichtet wurde, aber es ist höchst plausibel, dass auch dieses Denkmal in den 1920er Jahren von einem der örtlichen Kriegervereine stammt.
Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg wurde eine weitere Tafel für die Gefallenen des 2. Weltkrieges auf der Rückseite am Monolithen befestigt.
Das Kriegerdenkmal ist von der Hauptstraße in Gülden zugänglich. Dort führt eine kleine Tür direkt zum Denkmal auf dem Kirchengelände.
(en) Next to the small church in Gülden there is a monolith on a small base which has a metal plaque on ist front side with the inscription
"To commemorate our Brothers who found a honorable death for our fatherland in the 1914-18 world war // Never forget, my people, the faithful fallen"
and the names (cited above) of eight soldiers fallen in World War I.
I have no information about the erection of the monument, but it is highly plausible, that it was erected by a local veteran's community in the 1920s.
After World War II, a second plaque was attached to the back side of the monolith.
The War Memorial is easily accessible from the Hauptstraße in Gülden. A small wooden gate leads directly to the memorial on the church site.
