CZ: Podle krestanské verouky byl svatý Josef syn Jakoba, manžel Panny Marie - matky Ježíše Krista, Josef byl Ježíšovým pestounem. Památku sv. Josefa slaví celý rímsko-katolický svet 19. brezna, oslavuje ho jako svetce také církev recko-katolická, koptská a pravoslavná.
Barokní socharsko-kamenické dílo z roku 1716se nachází v západní cásti Námestí. Na fundamenu a dvojitém soklu je toskánsý sloup. Na jeho vrcholu stojí postava sv. Josefa, který v náruci drží Ježíše Krista. Zdobný, horní sokl je zdoben erbem a nikou.
EN: According to Christian doctrine, St. Joseph was the son of Jacob, the husband of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, and Joseph was the foster father of Jesus. Monument of st. Joseph celebrates the whole Roman Catholic world on March 19, he is also celebrated as a saint by the Greek Catholic, Coptic and Orthodox churches.
The Baroque sculpture-stonework from 1716 is located in the western part of the square. On the fundamen and double plinth there is a Tuscany column. At its peak stands the figure of St. Joseph holding Jesus Christ in his arms. Decorative, upper plinth is decorated with coat of arms and niche.
