The Red Cross was recognized by the post-independence government of São Tomé e Principe on the 13th January 1976. It provides social support to the population and it's present in both islands: São Tomé and Principe.
Here we find the local delegation of the organization. It's called, in Portuguese, Cruz Vermelha de São Tomé e Principe - Comité do Principe.
It's located in the center of the tiny town of Santo António, the only existent in the island.
