CZ: Na území Ceské republiky se pro varování obyvatelstva pri hrozící nebo nastalé mimorádné události používá pouze jediný varovný signál „Všeobecná výstraha“. Tento signál je vyhlašován kolísavým tónem sirény po dobu 140 sekund (2 minuty 20 sekund) a muže zaznít až 3 × za sebou v cca tríminutových intervalech. U elektronických (tzv. „mluvících“) sirén je varovný tón doplnen o hlasovou informaci, která upresnuje charakter ohrožení (nebezpecí zátopové vlny, chemická havárie, radiacní havárie) a je doplnena o výzvu ke sledování vysílání Ceského rozhlasu a Ceské televize.
Zpravidla každou první stredu v mesíci, ve 12:00 hodin, slýcháme tzv. „Zkušební tón“. Tento signál provází pravidelnou akustickou zkoušku sirén. Jedná se o neprerušovaný tón sirény trvající 140 vterin. V prípade elektronických sirén je následne vysílána verbální informace „zkouška sirén, zkouška sirén, zkouška sirén, práve probehla zkouška sirén, zkouška sirén.“
EN: In the Czech Republic, only one “General Warning” warning signal is used to warn the population in the event of an impending or emerging emergency. This signal is emitted by a wobble tone of the siren for 140 seconds (2 minutes 20 seconds) and can sound up to 3 times in succession at approximately three-minute intervals. Usually every first Wednesday of the month, at 12:00, we hear the so-called "Test tone". This signal accompanies the regular acoustic test of the sirens. This is an uninterrupted siren tone lasting 140 seconds. In the case of electronic sirens, the verbal information "siren test, siren test, siren test, siren test, siren test has been passed."
