According to the sign in front of this building:
This is the site of the first schoolhouse erected in the town of Lake Worth in 1912 - a frame building twenty-four by thirty-six feet. Initial enrollment was twenty-four pupils. In February 1916, building was replaced on this site by a concrete building - the present City Hall.
