This tomb is the final rest place of a lady, Gentileza Peregrino de Meneses. She was born on the 24th November 1871 and died on the 26th June 1974, shortly after the revolution in Portugal which led to the independence of São Tomé and Principe in 1975.
The cemetery is usually open and it's easy to access, standing by the National Road 3, connecting the capital, São Tomé, with Trindade, an old town of the country,
