At the far eastern end of Main Street in Wickford, Rhode Island, near the northerly channel connecting to Wickford Harbor, a short park bench dedicated to Gloria Gomes offers a view of Wickford Cove to its west and south.
The seat is made of wood slats with cast iron leg and arm assemblies that are painted gloss black. The backrest is comprised of a lattice metal rectangle within a wood frame. It is set on a concrete slab and the area immediately behind is landscaped with a few low flowering plants and a set of two sun bleached clam shells on a bed of brown bark mulch. A small brass plate affixed to the center of the top rail is engraved:
