The watershed is approximately 820 sq kms and 60 kms long running NE to the SW from the Fifth Depot Lake and Westport Road in the north to the town of Napanee and into the Bay of Quinte in the south.

The watershed includes the Napanee River and all the water that flows into it via small creeks. Any land that receives rain and drains into these creeks and the river are also included in the watershed.
