This little library box is on the grounds of the Grace Presbyterian Church that is located at the corner of Donaldson Avenue and Manor Drive in the Jefferson neighborhood northwest of Woodlawn Lake. Although the church property has a Donaldson address, this book exchange is neat the intersecting corner but actually faces toward Manor Drive. The box was built by a church member and the children participating in the Vacation Bible School program in the summer of 2019 painted the book box white but added their hand prints on the sides and back, each hand print in bright colors. The inside was cleverly designed to have three sections. Two shelves are for readers and books of normal size and a third section is a tall space that allows oversized books to fit in vertically and neatly.Not too many little libraries take to effort to provide for tall or oversized books. The overall appearance of this community free book exchange is that of a small country church building, with a high pitched roof. A steeple on top has cut outs of Christian crosses in each side of the steeple.

The concept of the Little Free Library is for people within a community to stop by the unit and examine the selection of books at that time. If you see a book you'd like to read, feel free to take it out and take it with you. If you have books at home that you have already read, you are encouraged to take these books to a Little Free Library and donate them into any little library's book selection. This concept is summarized as: Take A Book: Return a Book. Feel free to take a book you want to read, and feel free to return a book/add a book to this exchange unit or any others you know of. Your contribution of books keeps the sections varied and keeps the little libraries filled with book for others. Its is a win-win situation.
