The Union Bank constructed the building in 1899, and occupied the premises until a merger of the bank with the ANZ in the 1950’s. Since the 1960’s the building has been used to house various businesses and council departments. The symmetrically designed two storey face brick former bank has stuccoed pilasters, string courses and arched windows and a moulded arch above the main entrance, contrasting with the face brickwork.
