The inscription on the memorial reads -
Near this place lieth the body of William
Underwood esq , one of His Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the county of Huntingdon:
A P……… General good
C……… He died March 14th
1717 aged 72
Also the body of Barbara Underwood relict
of William Underwood esq a person of great
charity to the poor in their wants, sickness
& distress: who departed this life much lamented
by all that knew her April 1737
aged 71 years.
Also the bodies of George & Elizabeth Underwood
son & daughter of William Underwood esq
& Barbara his wife who departed this life
- Elizabeth October 16th & George November 6th AD 1708
aged 19 & 21
