He was
"Wiley Guthrie Colson", born in 1899 in Grimes County, about a hundred thirty miles from Frankston. His Findagrave page doesn't say much otherwise, but it does have a link to that of his wife, Laura (Bacon) Colson, whom he married on Christmas in 1923. She outlived him by fifty years and was a teacher in various school systems, including Frankston, for many years, and her obituary notes that Mr. Colson had been the superintendent of the Frankston schools when he passed on in 1951. One presumes he was a member of the Lions Club International.
A marble slab supports Mr. and Mrs. Colson's headstones, which are practically identical, bearing their signatures and important dates, with a rose in the upper, inside corner. Another slab, with the family name (on both sides), "Colson", supports a vase. Under Mr. Colson's signature are the Lions Club International emblem and the compass and square of the Freemasons.
