This version of the Merriam Municipal Flag is flying on a single pole below the U.S. National Flag and the Kansas State Flag in front of the Merriam Community Center - 5701 Merriam Drive in Merriam, Kansas.

The Merriam Municipal Flag has a lighter blue field. Centered, towards the top is a yellow half sun with rays. Below the sun in block capitol letters is "MERRIAM" in white. In script, in the lower right corner, are the words "just right".

This flag flies at the Irene B. French Community Center, named for a long time mayor of Merriam. The Community Center was formerly the second Merriam Elementary school built in 1911.
