Das Hirtenmädchen, in unmittelbarer Nähe des Flötenspielers, ist wirklichkeitsnah modelliert und danach in Bronze gegossen. Im Gegensatz zum musizierenden Jüngling erscheint sie volkstümlicher und erdverbundener, was durch das Ruhen der Mädchenfigur auf dem felsigen Grund noch betont wird. Beide Plastiken befinden sich im Waldstaudengarten.

The shepherdess, in the immediate vicinity of the flute player, is modeled realistically and then cast in bronze. In contrast to the young man making music, it appears more folk-like and earth-bound, which is emphasized by the resting of the girl figure on the rocky ground. Both sculptures are located in the Waldstaudengarten.
