The Juche Tower represents the Juche philosophy, created by a former North Korean president. It was unveiled in 1982, comemorating Kim Il-sung 70th anniversary and it was built with 25550 blocks of granite stone, one for each day of the life of the president by then.

The obelisk has a height of 170 meters and there is a lift inside leading to a viewpoint (costs 5 Euros). In a clear day a visitor will have amazing views from Pyongyang but the obelisk is always an interesting sight and an usual stop of the tours.
