The pub has a slightly curved layout and at the junction of two walls there is an overhang where lintels above corner windows join together.
More properly a grotesque it is in the form of a horned and winged combination of man and beast in a crouched position supporting the overhang. Its feet are resting against the wall and its shoulders are bearing the weight of the wall above.
The building is early 20th century and so is a quite modern example of a grotesque.
