A la fin du XIXème siècle, les habitants s’installèrent peu à peu sur les terres reprises à la rivière (après les travaux d’endiguement), en contrebas du village. Le nouveau quartier, autour des allées de platanes, pris le nom de « Cours » et son développement entraîna la construction d’un lavoir en 1856.
Après l’adduction d’eau directe, il fût peu à peu abandonné puis comblé de terre.
Dégagé en 1996, il a retrouvé sa forme initiale, témoin d’une époque.

Sur la photo ancienne, on voit le lavoir inondé lors d'une crue du Verdon (rivière très proche) associée à une crue du Malaurie.

At the end of the 19th century, the inhabitants gradually settled on the land taken back from the river (after the damming works), below the village. The new district, around the plane trees alleys, took the name "Cours" and its development led to the construction of a washhouse in 1856.
After the direct water supply, it was gradually abandoned and filled with soil.
Released in 1996, it has regained its original shape, witnessing an era.

On the old photo, we see the washhouse flooded during a flood of the Verdon (very close river) associated with a flood of the Malaurie.
