Completed in the spring of 2016, First Ward Park, in Charlotte, N.C. features a large open central lawn flanked by two public fountains. The park accommodates a summer concert series typically attended by approximately 4,000 residents. University of North Carolina Charlotte’s new City Center Building is a contemporary, urban backdrop for the calming setting of the North Fountain.

First Ward Park is easily accessible by all, surrounded by restaurants and offices, and benefits from an existing on-site light rail station. The park is also situated near the University of North Carolina Charlotte Center City, First Ward Elementary School, and ImagineON, a children’s library and performing arts center which hosts over half a million visitors annually.
