As described by the NGS in 1985 (although originally monumented by the CGS back in 1935):
"[...] LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE GROUNDS OF THE FANNIN SCHOOL. [...] THE MARK IS STAMPED---BRYAN NO 2 1935---AND IS SET IN TOP OF A SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT THAT PROJECTS 3-INCHES. IT IS 12.56 METERS (41.21 FT) SOUTH OF THE SOUTH CORNER OF THE GYMNASIUM, 7.01 METERS (23.00 FT) NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF 30TH STREET, 2.22 METERS (7.28 FT) SOUTHWEST OF AN HISTORICAL MONUMENT AND 0.24 METER (0.79 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST EDGE OF A SIDEWALK."
Save for the reference to the historical monument (which is no longer there), the NGS description is still pretty accurate: it is located on top of a square 10" high concrete block at the north sidewalk of 30th Street, at the SW corner of Fannin Elementary School in Bryan, TX.
The original traingulation station, "BRYAN" has been destroyed and is no longer listed in the NGS database.
The NGS' currently posted coordinates ("N 30 40 04.07 W 096 22 04.72") seems pretty accurate: my measurements were "N 30° 40.069 W 096° 22.082" based on 10+ readings within 10' accuracy.
The station was recovered in good condition.
