Stoup to the right of the entrance in to the Church of Our Lady, Star of the Sea and St. Maughold. The stoup is of rough stone with a lead lining.

A stoup is a holy water font for holding holy water which is generally placed near the entrance of a church.

In a Roman Catholic Church the stoup it is also known as a bénitier. It is used to make the Sign of the Cross using the holy water upon entering the church.

Holy water has been blessed by a priest and is believed to be a reminder of the baptismal promise
