The Saint-Brice church is a monument with ancient origins that boasts a remarkable site overlooking the village and the valley. His initial plan, which was to be very simple with a nave extended by a narrower span and probably a simple apse, has been modified over the centuries.
The facade, of great sobriety, was restored in the nineteenth century. The nave has rubble walls testifying to a first construction of the eleventh century.
When it was covered with a barrel vault in the twelfth century, the walls were lined inside with arches that do not fit exactly to the rhythm of the windows. The external facing was, for its part, resumed in stone and the nave lengthened a span to the west. Two quadrangular chapels open to the north of the nave, the first is an addition of the modern period and the second of the Middle Ages.
To the south, a third chapel leaning against the presbytery is parallel to the previous one to form a kind of false transept. The strangling of the belfry span belongs to the first building, since it contains an archaic device, with rubble walls pierced by small semicircular windows and a barrel vault intended to reinforce the span to receive the weight of the bell tower. The apse was, when it was replaced in the twelfth century by a straight span and a new apse in stone, punctuated on the outside by columns-buttresses.
The Romanesque bell tower has undergone major changes since two sections were probably rebuilt after the Wars of Religion as at Berneuil. However, on two of his faces he has kept elegant twin bays under simple semicircular arches. In the north-east chapel, a seventeenth century polychrome wooden statue of the Virgin and Child, from the Abbey of Fontdouce, is particularly venerated.
To the south, in addition to the 18th century presbytery, an addition of the fifteenth century that leans against the span under the bell tower, completed the chapel still accessible from the nave and now serves as a shed.

L église Saint-Brice est un monument aux origines anciennes qui bénéficie d'un site remarquable surplombant le village et la vallée. Son plan initial, qui devait être des plus simples avec une nef prolongée par une travée sous clocher plus étroite et sans doute une simple abside, a été modifié au cours des siècles.
La façade, d'une grande sobriété, a été restaurée au XIXe siècle. La nef présente des murs en moellons témoignant d’une première construction du XIe siècle.
Lorsqu’elle a été couverte d’une voûte en berceau au XIIe siècle, les murs ont été doublés à l’intérieur par des arcades qui ne s’ajustent pas exactement au rythme des fenêtres. Le parement extérieur a été, quant à lui, repris en pierre de taille et la nef rallongée d’une travée vers l’ouest. Deux chapelles quadrangulaires s’ouvrent au nord de la nef, la première est une adjonction de la période moderne et la seconde du Moyen-âge.
Au sud, une troisième chapelle qui s’appuie contre le presbytère, fait pendant à la précédente pour former une sorte de faux transept. L’étranglement de la travée sous clocher appartient au premier édifice, puisqu’on y retrouve un dispositif archaïque, avec des murs en moellons percés de petites baies en plein cintre et une voûte en berceau destinée à renforcer la travée afin de recevoir le poids du clocher. L’abside a été, quand à elle, remplacée au XIIe siècle par une travée droite et une nouvelle abside en pierre de taille, rythmée à l’extérieur par des colonnes-contreforts.
Le clocher roman a subi d’importants remaniements puisque deux pans ont été reconstruits sans doute après les guerres de Religion comme à Berneuil. Il a toutefois conservé sur deux de ses faces d’élégantes baies géminées s’inscrivant sous de simples arcs en plein cintre. Dans la chapelle nord-est, une statue de Vierge à l’Enfant en bois polychrome du XVIIe siècle, provenant de l’abbaye de Fontdouce, fait l’objet d’une vénération particulière.
Au sud, outre le presbytère du XVIIIe siècle, une adjonction du XVe siècle qui s’appuie contre la travée sous le clocher, complétait la chapelle encore accessible depuis la nef et sert désormais de remise.
