"The first church dedicated to Saint Leonard was built in the 11th century by the Benedictines of Pontlevoy.Construction began around 1380, the work of rebuilding the church will continue in the fifteenth and the sixteenth century.The tower of the tower is completed in 1637 Deprived during the Revolution, the building was remodeled from 1857 to 1876 by the architects Aristide Tourneux and Prioul: enlargement, reorientation of the church and construction of a new main facade on the site of the old choir.
The church, flamboyant Gothic style, is devoid of transept and ends with a flat bedside. Its ample nave is accosted of a row of chapels. The main door is surmounted by a rose six meters in diameter. The facade of the Saint Leonard church clearly shows the enlargements. The oldest part is pink granite, while that of the nineteenth century is gray granite.
Around 1864, the church was enlarged by three spans to the west. Two of these bays form the current choir. At the same time, the roof and roof were raised and the exposed beams were removed. Later, the gable of entry was redone and decorated with a rosette in kersanton, copy of that of Sainte Chapelle in Paris. "

" La première église dédiée à saint Léonard a été édifiée au XIème siècle par les bénédictins de Pontlevoy. Commencé vers 1380, les travaux de reconstruction de l'église vont se poursuivre au XVème et au XVIème siècle. La tour du clocher est achevée en 1637. Profané à la Révolution, l'édifice a été remanié de 1857 à 1876 par les architectes Aristide Tourneux et Prioul : agrandissement, réorientation de l’église et édification d'une nouvelle façade principale à l’emplacement de l’ancien chœur.
L’église, de style gothique flamboyant, est dépourvue de transept et se termine par un chevet plat. Son ample nef est accostée d'une enfilade de chapelles. La porte principale est surmontée d’une rose de six mètres de diamètre. La tour du clocher, dotée de gargouilles en forme de canons, s'achève par un haut beffroi couronné d’un dôme à lanternon.
La façade de l'église saint Léonard permet nettement de constater les agrandissements. La partie la plus ancienne est en granit rose, alors que celle du XIX° siècle est en granit gris.
Vers 1864, l'église a été agrandie de trois travées vers l'ouest. Deux de ces travées forment le chœur actuel. Simultanément, la voûte et la toiture ont été surélevées et les poutres apparentes ont été supprimées. Plus tard, le pignon d'entrée a été refait et orné d'une rosace en kersanton, copie de celle de la Sainte Chapelle à Paris. "
