C & OW Depot - Clinton, OK - Train Stations/Depots on Waymarking.com

For those of you who seek out old railroad depots, this is another one of those treasures that served such an important part of early Oklahoma. A great many Oklahoma towns had their start because of the railroad lines, and this depot served those traveling on the Clinton & Oklahoma Western Railroad, and later the ATSF.

This is a one-story frame depot with a gabled shingled roof. It is in complete disrepair, with its windows boarded, trash built up around it, and wood boards disintegrating. The depot stands on the southwest corner of E. Frisco and S. 1st on the east side of Clinton.
