Providence Place is an indoor shopping mall in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. It is the largest mall in the state with 1,400,000 square feet of retail space holding over 140 stores and restaurants and two movie theaters across three floors. It opened on August 20, 1999.
As of 2019, Macy's and Boscov's are the anchor stores. Dozens of retail shops span the spectrum: Champs Sports, New York & Company, Claire's, Old Navy, Zara, J. Crew, The North Face, Apple, Game Stop, cellular phone providers, CVS, Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Yankee Candle, Piercing Pagoda, Tiffany & Co., Vans, Foot Locker, Newbury Comics, Lego, and Build-A-Bear.
Full-service restaurants are UNO Pizzeria, P.F. Chang's, Dave & Busters, and the Cheesecake Factory. The third floor food court includes Johnny Rockets, Ruby Thai, Dunkin' Donuts, and Pinkberry.
The 16-screen Providence Place Showcase Cinema and an IMAX theater typically have showtimes from noon until after midnight.
There are two large parking garages. They were renovated in 2017 with the addition of a color-coded light system above each spot (green = available; red = occupied; and blue = handicapped.)
