Pupils of the compulsory elective course "Applied Natural Sciences" with teacher Barbara Krenz-Zwerger from the Ossenmoorpark Community School, the Nature Conservation Association Norderstedt and the Ossenmoorpark Support Group built this insect hotel in 2018, which is primarily intended to ensure the survival of the threatened wild bees.
More than two metres high and at least as wide with nine differently designed compartments is the hostel for the insects, in which not only the bees, but also floating wasps and ladybirds, for example, are kept.
