A two-sided town clock stands south of the Bristol County Savings Bank on West Central Street in Franklin, Massachusetts. Along with some ground shrubs to its south, it is within a small mulch covered area surrounded by a rectangular asphalt border in a parking lot.
The 15'6" (4.7m) street clock is a large two-dial Howard model from the manufacturer Electric Time Company. The nominal 36" (66cm) dials with white backgrounds are illuminated and face east and west. The dozen Arabic numeral hours and sixty minute marks are black. The black hands are curved tapers with spade-shaped pointers. The casing is painted green with gold highlights. The header reads "Bristol County Savings Bank" on both sides.
The clock correctly displayed the time as 7:24PM on the evening of my sunset visit.
