The 4-H Club is a nationwide organization for young people ages 5 through 18. The nationwide system connected to each land-grant institution of higher education. Members of 4-H learn life skills under the guidance of trained volunteers in clubs, camps and after school programs. The 6 million members of 4-H in the United States are involved in hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement.
The clover emblem flag of the 4-H club was adopted in 1924. It consists of a green four leaf clover against a white background with the capital letter H inscribed in white on each leaf. The H's stand for HEAD-HEART-HANDS-HEALTH.
