The PROVIDENCE INDUSTRIAL mural, designed by Shepard Fairey and painted by Johan Bjurman (now retired from commercial mural work), was dedicated in 2010. Though it can be seen from a number of vantage points around town, it is most clearly viewed directly on the northwest side of the Pell Chafee Performance Center, which is accessible from Aborn Street in downtown Providence, Rhode Island.

Shepard Fairey's distinct and bold graphic style with minimal colors -- red, white, and black in this piece -- highlights city landmarks: the Seekonk River railroad bridge, one of two domed towers the from the Atlantic Mill Building, the Industrial Trust Building, and the Biltmore Hotel. Diagonal banners angle down from the left and right edges, meet at the Industrial Trust Building and proclaim "PROVIDENCE" in red letters on white and "INDUSTRIAL" in white letters on red. Jagged electricity bolts are centered at the top. Two of Shepard Fairey's most well-known images are also incorporated, as in much of his other work: the word OBEY at the bottom left corner and, on the bridge, an "OBEY FACE" icon of his Andre the Giant stencil.
