This small complex of rooms was occupied from 1070 to 1275 A.D. Its importance on the trading route is evidenced by the Macaw skeletons and shells that have been uncovered. The population, at it's peak, may have reached 300 people in 60 rooms. Remaining are the foundation stones, the rooms may have been two stories tall. Archaeological excavations began in 1926 and continue through the present. The Sinagua people who built the site probably blended into the group that became the Hopi people. The Hopi still revere the site.
