This dedication stone is in front of the gazebo in the Field Garden. The gazebo is provided for services and a gatherings place for families and friends. The Field Garden is a cremation section that is a peaceful garden setting. The Field Garden accommodates traditional burial of ashes.
City of Grande Prairie Cemetery is also known as Flying Shot Lake Cemetery and was established in 1914. It is within the Grande Prairie Census Division and has approximately 4,774 known interments. This is a fairly large cemetery with approximately 33 acres and is well maintained by the City of Grande Prairie.
The cemetery has several columbariums, a Field Garden, as well as tradition burials for cremains.
