As the Yellowhead Highway heads north from Kamloops, this is its first of several crossings of the North Thompson River, the largest river in the area.

Naturally, then, this is a fairly substantial bridge. At its northwest corner is this BC Water Resources reference marker, stamped "617" with a small "19" above it. The marker is in the top of the northwest abutment, just beyond the end of the concrete corner post. There is a wide spot, sufficiently wide to park safely, just north of the bridge. The station number given on the station's webpage is 08LB022. This station appears to have been decommissioned, as the most recent data available is from 1959, the earliest from 1915.

Benchmark 89C025 is at the other end of the bridge.
