Groupe financier Banque Royale, Bell Canada, Biscuits Leclerc ltée. et la Commission de la capitale nationale du Québec se sont associés à la Ville de Québec pour la réalisation de cette oeuvre du sculpteur Jan Stohl inaugurée le 30 mai 2001.

The City of Quebec celebrates the memory of a great Quebec painter, Joseph Légaré (1795-1855).
Considered the first Canadian landscape artist, he played a leading role in the cultural life of his time.
Royal Bank Financial Group, Bell Canada, Leclerc Biscuits Ltd. and the Quebec National Capital Commission have partnered with the City of Quebec to create this work by sculptor Jan Stohl, inaugurated on May 30, 2001.
