Wyatt Road Culvert - Norge, OK - WPA Projects on Waymarking.com

Throughout Oklahoma, culverts were constructed by local WPA workers, benefiting the infrastructure, and giving much-needed employment to Depression-era workers. This is yet another of these culverts, which appears to still be functioning as designed, almost 70 years later.

This culvert is located on Highway 92, and runs east-west beneath Wyatt Road about a half-mail west of town. The culvert has an opening about 2 feet high and 4 feet wide, and has a WPA shield stamped on its curb reading 1941.
