The High Bar First Nation people are Llenlleney'ten: a First Nations people in the Chilcotin District-Fraser Canyon region of British Columbia. They are a subgroup of the Secwepemc people and reside on a remote stretch of the Fraser River about 50 km north of Lillooet (Mile "0" of the Cariboo Wagon Road).

The High Bar First Nation Cemetery in Clinton is a small cemetery that is kept natural with tall grasses and spring flowers. As with tradition, usually graves are marked with a simple wooden white cross and usually unnamed. In this cemetery there are several small upright headstones some with names of the deceased. There are an estimate 100 or so visible grave markers. This cemetery most likely is quite old and there probably are many unmarked grave sites that the markers have deteriorated over time.

There is a small wooden sign near the entrance acknowledging Ainsworth Lumber for donating the wood for the crosses in 1993.

Clinton is in the South Cariboo region of beautiful British Columbia. It has approximately 650 residents in this small rural community founded as a direct result of the "boom" of the Cariboo Gold Rush.

After the discovery of gold in the Cariboo, Royal Engineers were commissioned to build a road through the Fraser Canyon to the Cariboo to join the already existing wagon road from Lillooet to 47 Mile. The junction was 47 miles from Lillooet and thus 47 Mile was the name used until 1863, when 47 Mile officially became Clinton.

Clinton is home to one of Canada's oldest continual events, the "Annual Ball" which was first held in 1867.
