Two years after it was completed, the Jasper Park Administration Building was adorned with this "Copper Survey Bolt", monumented in 1916. At the base of the buttress at the south end of the building, the bolt has had a rather hard life, if its appearance is any indication. Its face has been substantially damaged. The letters "G.S.C." are legible at the top; a bit of a "B" and part of an "M" (BM) ave visible in the centre; part of a "0", much of a "4" and most of an "H" can be seen at the bottom. The "1"in "104H" is completely gone.
