Cette porte d'entrée est en laiton. Des sculptures en relief sont présentes sur le cadre extérieur. On aperçoit aussi des sculptures finement détaillées sur la porte de même que d'une représentation des armoiries du Québec.
« Cet immeuble, nommé en l’honneur du premier orateur de la Chambre de l’Assemblée du Bas-Canada, regroupe les services administratives du complexe du Parlement du Québec, notamment les services chargés de soutenir le travail des élus dans l’exercice de leurs fonctions.
Ce sont les architectes Auger, Beaulé et Morissette qui ont dressé les plans de cet édifice. Ces architectes, tout en ne voulant pas trop se distancier du style de l’Hôtel du Parlement voisin, conçoivent un édifice d’une architecture de style Beaux-Arts, à la fois moderne et fonctionnel, doté d’une structure de béton. »
