The hotel has wide verandah which provide shade for patrons & pedestrians alike. The footpath has seating with wine barrels as tables. Along the road which leads to the river the hotel has two paintings of ships from yesteryear. One in particular is a sailing ship - the schooner Huia which is depicted clearing the Clarence Head with timber bound for New Zealand in 1932.

The hotel offers a bistro, kids play area, accommodation, a games room, Keno, Foxtel & a TAB. It has a courtesy bus so you can enjoy a meal & a drink & get home safely.
