There is only one route across the Butte Arm Canal to reach this section, so the memorial is pretty difficult to miss: It's pretty much right in front of you after you've made the crossing, a bit off to the right.
Type of Memorial: Non-Specific Memorial

In Honor Of: All Departed Veterans of All Wars

Marker Text:

Veterans

Who Put it Here?: Rose Hill Cemetery

Description of Memorial:
This simple, gray granite memorial could have been a headstone in another incarnation. The text is enclosed in a small box in which the color is a bit lighter than outside.

Rose Hill Cemetery is one of the two main cemeteries in Idaho Falls, with nearly 14,000 burials. Still active, it dates well into the late 19th century, and the trees here make it a nice place to walk for those who aren't shy about enjoying historical cities of the dead.
