James Thomas Park is on the south edge of Tucson. The small park provides restroom and picnic facilities and a children's playground with swings and a play area, several small shelters for shade, and also has a playing field for socer and other games, a pair of tennis courts and a basketball court. A feature of the park is the sculpture "El Vaquero" by artist Dan Hickman.
