This is quite a new subdivision, and the Somerset Regional Council has done their best to make it an attractive option for those who need to commute distances to their work.
A metre-high wire mesh fence, with metal-pipe railing, surrounds this gated rectangular area of a gentle slope. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac off Cinderwood Court, so a reasonable amount of parking is available.
Or, you could park near the Public Playground on Honeywood Drive.
The sign for the Area has the following requirements:
- Ensure all gates are kept closed
- Respect other users of the dog off leash area
- Ensure your dog is not a nuisance to other dogs or their owners
- Keep your dog under your control (your dog must return to you when called).
- Protect your dog - 'leash and leave' at the first sign of problems
- Clean up after your dog and dispose of dog droppings and waste in the bin provided
- Put your dog on a leash when leaving the off-leash area.
NOTE:
Children are not permitted to use the area unless under close adult supervision.
Dogs using this area must be wormed regularly and their vaccinations up to date.
