Translated from the above noted text:

Inaugurated on June 20, 2016, the Firefighters Memorial is located on Langelier Boulevard, at the corner of Charest Boulevard and Saint-Vallier Street. This place of memory is now dedicated to firefighters who died in service, as well as the fires that have marked the history of the city. This public artwork was made possible thanks to the Cultural Development Agreement between Quebec City and the Ministry of Culture and Communications.

The memorial is made up of 14 steel and glass stelae, greeting the fallen firefighters on duty, as well as the work "Mission Accomplished", a bronze sculpture in the image of a fireman welcoming two children who seem grateful to him.

This monument was once found in Mount Thabor Park. The result of a collaboration between Quebec City and the National Capital Commission of Quebec, the work Mission accomplished was carried out on the occasion of the World Games of police and firefighters held in Quebec City in 2005. The artist, Truong Chanh Trung wanted to highlight "the expression of the emotions that arise from the proximity to suffering and the fragility of life: wisdom, trust and serenity".
