The cemetery is opposite St. Michael's Catholic Primary School & Church & is protected by a brick & steel fence. You walk through a Lychgate & a plaque outlines the history of lychgates. The plaque reads (in part):
"The traditional entrance to a cemetery was a known as a lychgate. Here mourners respectfully filed past the remains of the deceased and conveyed their final expressions of sympathy to the bereaved".
It is a modern lychgate & was probably constructed in the year 2000, the Jubilee Year of the parish when the cemetery was restored.
There is no cemetery sign.
