"Twin long concrete reflecting pools with fountains run north-south along the west side of Houston Street. These pools were separated by the cross intersection of Main Street; each pool was oval at the end facing toward the edge of the park, and rectangular along Main Street."

"In 1940, WPA workers completed this park in the heart of Dallas."
