"C’est la dernière survivante des trois églises que comptait la ville au XIVème siècle.
Sa façade et son portail furent renouvelés au XVIème siècle mais sa voûte s’écroula une 1ère fois en 1689 puis en 1916 et 1919.
Le clocher a été modernisé. Le portail néo-renaissance date des années 1920. À l’intérieur, des vitraux modernes (1954) figurent les apôtres (bas-côtés) et illustrent la vie de la Vierge (nef).
Ce monument historique dont l’architecture porte les traces du 12ème siècle et du 17ème siècle, fût détruit une première fois durant la guerre de cent ans. L’église fut reconstruite en 1524 et achevé en 1655. Menaçant de ruine, elle fut fermée au culte en mai 1926 et restaurée dans les année 1927 à 1934.
Maintes fois mutilée au cours des siècles par les intempéries, les accidents, elle fût une nouvelle fois presque entièrement détruite en Juin 1940 et et une seconde fois en 1944 par les bombardements et bombes incendiaires de la seconde guerre mondiale.
Elle a été reconstruite dans son style original, à partit des seuls murs, en élévation subsistants, et l’inauguration eut lieu le 20 Juin 1954.
L’aspect actuel de l’église est donc le résultat d’une reconstruction faite entre 1952 & 1957."

The bell tower has been modernized. The Neo-Renaissance portal dates from the 1920s. Inside, modern stained glass windows (1954) depict the Apostles (aisles) and illustrate the life of the Virgin (nave).
This historic monument whose architecture bears the traces of the 12th century and the 17th century, was destroyed for the first time during the Hundred Years War. The church was rebuilt in 1524 and completed in 1655. Threatening with ruin, it was closed to worship in May 1926 and restored in the years 1927 to 1934.
Many times mutilated over the centuries by bad weather, accidents, it was again almost completely destroyed in June 1940 and a second time in 1944 by the bombings and incendiary bombs of the Second World War.
It was rebuilt in its original style, starting from the only surviving walls, and the inauguration took place on June 20, 1954.
The present appearance of the church is therefore the result of a reconstruction made between 1952 & 1957. "
